The Rosemary & Bay Candle by Collingwood of Somerset

Imagine the scent of a herb garden, warmed by the sun.  Aromatic rosemary and bay flourish alongside spicy, peppery juniper . . .

Everyone loves a candle, especially in Winter.  And even more so, if it comes in a beautiful gift box.

These luxury candles from family company Collingwood of Somerset are already a firm favourite in interiors and women magazines with the likes of Country Life, Country Living, Red and Hello!

Made in England, their luxury hand-poured candles are inspired by the scents of the English countryside.  They’re made using a blend of mineral and non-GMO coconut wax with no palm oil!  The candles smell delicious and their packaging is beautiful, inspired by a set of 19th century botanical engravings.  They're the perfect indulgence for yourself or a loved one.

Gluggle jugs continue to be one of our absolute bestsellers and make the perfect gift - charming, delightful and a real talking point.  Everyone loves their glug glug jugs - they’re simply a national institution! If you've never had the pleasure of hearing one poured then you are in for an absolute treat. They make a funny glugging noise and whether you are five, or eight-five, it always brings a smile to everyone’s face! Whilst the first jugs date back to Staffordshire in the 1870s, their popularity was boosted in the 1950s when the Queen & Prince Philip were gifted a pair.

These days they come in a gorgeous array of colours and sizes to suit a cottage or modern home, and are the perfect gift for yourself or someone else. We use ours as a water jug but they can also be used for wine, as a utensil jar, a vase or simply an eye-catching ornament.

A set of size liqueur glasses from The Vintage List - all hand blown and hand engraved

I am a firm believer in that you can simply never have enough glassware.  Particularly when it’s this beautiful.  The Vintage List’s mission is to reproduce some of the wonderful glassware you find in antique markets and salerooms, but for a modern customer.  They create classic vintage designs which are timeless yet perfectly complement other modern homeware.  All their glassware is hand made, hand engraved and all made from fine, lead-free glass, but best of all, unlike vintage glassware you can put them in the dishwasher at the end of the night.

Whether your host would appreciate a duo of champagne saucers, or a full set of six high balls or tumblers, I have an array of glassware that would be only to welcome for any host.  My personal favourite at this time of year are the liqueur glasses - perfect for a sweet sherry with your trifle, or port with your cheese
