Introducing Claire Folkes Ceramics

My constant mission at Rhubarb & Hare is to find products for your home that are both beautiful and yet useful.  Claire Folkes Ceramics are exactly that. 

A small batch potter based close to us in rural Essex, there are two things I love about Claire's pottery. 

The first is that everything she makes is really tactile, you can't help but wrap your hands round one of her mugs, and her lidded pots are so precious, I find myself taking the lid on and off repeatedly as I find it so pleasing!  Claire says she designs her pieces to be used, handled and loved and you really can't help but use and love them. 

The second thing I love about Claire is the glazes she uses - her mustard is a gloriously sunny yellow, not too sharp but just enough to make you feel you've got sunshine in your kitchen; Her grey is subtle but with a depth that makes it standout whilst remaining neutral, and her pink, which I think is my favourite, is divine, soft and gentle so it will suit most interiors.
