Our Packaging Pledge

It’s been really important to me whilst setting up Rhubarb & Hare that all our packaging elements are recyclable, where possible, and inflict none or very little impact on the environment. I know when I'm shopping myself, this is something I look for and I wanted to ensure I provide the same.

The cardboard boxes we use to send our your orders are all made from a minimum of 75% recycled material.  Any additional new material required is sourced from FSC managed forests.  All the boxes are of course recyclable and fully degradable.

The plain wrapping paper we use is basically unprinted newspaper offcuts which is 100% recycled and recyclable.

The loose fill chips are actually made from starch and are 100% biodegradable. If you are ever curious or bored enough then have a go, put some of them in a bowl of water and watch them dissolve! 

The branded tissue paper is from No Issue who specialise in sustainable branded material for companies.

The tape to seal up every box is self-adhesive paper tape and is 100% recyclable.
